What Is Guitar Pro?
Guitar Pro 8 Is An Essential Tool For Every Guitarist
Have you seen Guitar Pro 8 advertised and wondered if this software is for you?
As I have a few Guitar Pro tutorial videos already on YouTube, I thought it would be a good idea to create a video explaining how I use Guitar Pro. Hopefully, this will help other guitarists decide whether this is a helpful tool for them (spoiler... if you are a guitarist, then yes it is!).

What Is Guitar Pro? - Video Transcript
Have you ever found yourself struggling with guitar notation software? Many years ago, I used guitar notation software such as Sibelius and Finale for any notating jobs.
I had heard of Guitar Pro, but I dismissed it at the time as I thought that Guitar Pro was just a cut-down version of those other programs, lacking the power and functionality I needed. When I started to use Guitar Pro, I realised that I was totally wrong, and this awesome software could do everything I needed, and do it much more efficiently.
I would often find myself struggling to find the tools and functionality I needed when using Sibelius and Finale. Guitar Pro soon became my go-to software as the workflow makes everything much easier.
If you are not familiar with Guitar Pro, I thought I would record this video to show you how I use it and hopefully you will see the power of this extremely useful software.
Remember Your Musical Ideas
Anytime I have a musical idea, I will write it down in Guitar Pro. When I was younger, I would wrongly think that I would remember all the new musical ideas that entered my head. I thought of them, so I must remember them.
Nope! One piece of advice I can give to any aspiring musician is to always write down your musical thoughts, otherwise many of them will be forgotten. Guitar Pro allows me to quickly write down an idea and I have built up a massive library of musical thoughts over the years.
If you have learnt any of my Shorts licks, these have all been notated using Guitar Pro. It’s so easy to create professional-looking notation which I can upload to my various websites.
